| Chemical Properties | Bright blue to black powder. Poor water solubility, aqueous solution is blue. Black solution in concentrated sulfuric acid, insoluble in hydrochloric acid, caustic soda, organic solvents. Slightly change the color and light when met with copper ions, yellow and dark when met with iron ions. | |||||||||||||||||||
| Direct Blue 108 has the structure of triphenyl two oxazine, and can be used in dyeing of cotton, viscose fiber, silk and its blended fabrics[1]. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Preparation | 9-Ethyl-9H-carbazol-3-amine and 2,3,5,6-Tetrachlorocyclohexa-2,5 -diene-1,4-dione in Pyridine of condensation,with 99.5% of sulfuric acid sulfonation simultaneously closed and third (obtained Sirius Blue FTFGL); or in o-dichlorobenzene and 4-Methylbenzene-1-sulfonyl chloride condensation and cyclization as above and trisulfonated (obtained Sirius Blue FFRL), then into trisodium salt.
